Anyone see what happened to Coastal in Omaha?  2 games v Creighton:  7 runs, .203BA, 18K, 16LOB.  That ballpark plays different.  Big East at large bids anyone?

Most ballparks play big if you K 18 times.  Didn't think that'll play any role in more Big East bids.  Teams need to start consistently winning if they want to up their RPI enough to get an at-large.

Creighton has played very well in their midweek games against high rpi teams Nebraska and CCU but they're only 4-5 in league play. Their next 3 conference series are against 3 of the best big east teams Georgetown, St Johns and UCONN. They have a real chance to improve their rpi and put themselves in a good position for an at large bid.

Creighton is a good team, but may have had a climate advantage against Coastal... Either way, still a 30 win team towards the end of April, but below .500 in conf at this point with strong conf. comp ahead... I would think the series loss to Villanova hurt a bit, yet a very capable team.

Creighton with a mid 40s RPI, but at 4-6 in conference (headed to 4-7 I'd they lose the suspended game they're trailing in) and dropping home games to Georgetown won't help things. They're going to need to be lights out the next few weeks.

In related news, Coastal taking it on the chin at home vs Troy likely moves them to the wrong side of the housing bubble for now.  No Sun Belt hosts may open up a West Coast site like UCSB (but their remaining games may kill their RPI. 200+ RPIs galore down the stretch.

NCAA will need a couple of host sites that aren't within an easy drive if Charlotte, NC won't they?
