On local radio interview today (TexAgs radio), Schloss was asked about the video circulating of Georgia reliever, Christian Mracna, seeming to doctor his glove in the bullpen and frequently touching it when he went in (video on twitter if haven't come across it). Schloss downplayed it, basically saying that it doesn't rile him up because trying to find a better grip on the baseball has always been a part of the game.

But mentioned some folks in the profession are naive to what goes on at the highest levels of college baseball in trying to get competitive advantages.  From the interview "Our game is starting to mirror the major leagues. Whether it be sneaky video guys moving around the stadium, we had some of that going on this weekend.  Whether it is planted cameras or microphones in the dugouts...I will never be in the CIA, but it's high level stuff."

"I just had a call with SEC office this morning. Should we move to having the umpires check the pitcher after every inning or randomly? That is being discussed right now. Should it be implemented instantly? Should it be something we talk about at SEC meetings and put in our gme next year? It does not make me feel good to see that, and I have never seen Braden Montgomery, Jace LaViolette & Jackson Appel strike out in one inning.

He went on to discuss more of the technological aspects teams try to get competitive advantages, specifically mentioning the high financial costs associated in trying to police it. Most interesting part of that segment was "There are ways we could wire our dugout to get a live feed. A school in our league got busted, but I don't know if people know about it yet.  They are hitting .306 at home and .206 on the road.  I don't know."

Kendall have you heard anything about this?   Am trying to find a website that lists SEC teams home/road BA splits but haven't found anything yet.

Pretty interesting stuff regardless.

Sorry for the double post - it didn't seem like it worked first time I tried to post.

Finally figured out how to navigate to the team stats on D1's stats page.

https://d1baseball.com/team-leaderboards/?logged-in=49005&v=1714446257&c=3&split=away

(1) Arkie - . 299 - .211 = .089

(2)  UGA - .332 - .251 = .081

(3) MSU - .310 - .233 = .077

(4) Vandy - .306 - .233 = .073

(5) Missouri - 279 - .219 = .060

(6) UF - .300 - .242 = .058

(7) Ole Miss - .286 - .230 = .056

(8) A&M - .330 - .292 = .038

(9) Tenn -  .340 - .304 = .036

(10) Auburn - .277 - .242 =  .035

(11) UK - .314 - .286 = .028

(12) Bama - .321 - .298 = .023

Seems normal to hit better at home.

Hogs delta is pretty significant though.
