At what point in the season does RPI tend to stabilize and have relevancy? Will DSR take its place from a selection committee standpoint this year?

I tend to follow Boyd's World and his pseudo-RPI (he admits he is close but not perfect) and his ISR calculations. Talking with him, it usually seems that about 6-8 weeks into the season when the league play starts and they start linking together and getting the opponent of opponent ties spreading out it gets more realistic. As always, it gets better the longer you wait for sample size.
Do love the early season data darlings like Nebraska this year. Early true road wins score big.
No thoughts on the DSR for the committee.
