With the snow delay in Lincoln, NE (March 23), what does everyone think of the season starting dates/window for college ball?
I'm a northern school guy, so I'm for moving start date back to late March.
There are a lot of benefits to starting later, perhaps the first or second weekend of March. As a season ticket holder it would help. One downside is that the season would run until well after the semester ends, so student attendance would be down in late season series.
Andrew -- I am definitely a fan of an early March start date, but I have no desire to go any later than that. College baseball is bad ass because of the college atmosphere element. If we start, in let's say, late March, basically one month of the season will be played with students on campus and school in session. I just think that takes away from what makes the sport great. But there is most definitely a middle ground.
